2010 Workshop Facilitator Application
The 13th annual high school “Spirit of Leadership” conference is designed to provide a compelling and engaging day for the 300 young women who will be selected to receive the 2010 high school “Spirit of Leadership” award. This is a day-long event featuring keynote speakers, interactive skill-building workshops and a mentor experience connecting attendees with professional women from a variety of fields. The Young Women’s “Spirit of Leadership” conference offers attendees an opportunity to learn how to step more fully into becoming leaders in their own lives and their communities.
Join Our Team!
We are seeking a panel of experienced presenters to help provide unique youth-oriented workshops to include during the break-out sessions at the March 27, 2010 conference. Each facilitator chosen will present a one-hour workshop to be delivered twice during the day to two groups of 25 high school aged attendees. The material we seek is compelling, relevant to the teen population, skill building, interactive and most of all delivered with energy and enthusiasm to ensure reaching out to those who might not acknowledge this potential that lies within; we would like to help them recognize and step into becoming leaders in their own lives!
Workshop Facilitator Criteria:
- Youth speaker/trainer experienced with small group facilitation
- Leadership and self-development expertise
Who are our conference faculty members?
The Young Women’s Leadership conference faculty team consists of vibrant talented teachers and professional speakers who specialize in working with adolescent audiences. Our curriculum includes topics such as body image, speaking skills, confidence building, time management, goal setting, financial literacy, and more. Workshop sessions are always high energy and interactive to ensure maintaining the attention of our young audience. We seek faculty members that offer unique teen relevant curriculum – please submit your application on-line to be considered for our 2010 program year!
Can I participate as a Workshop Facilitator and a Mentor at the Conference?
The 2010 mentor program has been expanded into a full-day volunteer position. In past years many workshop facilitators also served as mentors on the same day, this year that opportunity is not available. We do however have other mentoring events for which we are also accepting on-line applications.
How can I help?
Submit your application to present a workshop at the conference and make a difference in the lives of our participants. With limited workshop facilitator positions available we hope that you will also submit an application to serve as a “Mentor-for-a-day” thereby giving you the opportunity to be with a small group of our participants in a leadership role

This diverse team of women leaders has proven to be a great networking community. We will also post your name on our website as a member of our 2010 faculty team along with a link to your website.
