The Young Women’s Leadership Program

Nominations are closed as of June 15th

The Jenna Druck Foundation will host its 12th annual “Young Women’s Leadership” program. Over the course of the year more than 1000 special young women from throughout San Diego will attend this series of inspirational and life changing educational events which includes two “Spirit of Leadership” conferences, four compelling Leadership Workshops along with a powerful year-round “mentor for a day” program. Many of our program participants are undiscovered or emerging leaders who do not yet know their own leadership potential. The Young Women’s Leadership program supports these girls with highly acclaimed training sessions designed to teach them how to actively live as leaders in their lives and in the community.

Training Tomorrow’s Leaders Today – The “Spirit of Leadership Award”

Each year hundreds of extraordinary high school young women are selected from throughout the county to receive the “Spirit of Leadership” Award. Recipients are invited to attend our annual conference where they are honored for the day. The conference includes two keynote speakers and 15 break-out sessions designed to enrich and support young women in their efforts to become active leaders today. A very special mentor experience connects attendees with prominent adult women leaders that volunteer their time and attention with the girls to encourage sharing and growth. The day is remarkable, and it changes the lives of many attendees (including the adults involved!).

Travel with us this year using the new “Passport to Success”

For the first time Young Women’s Leadership participants have the opportunity to earn a 2009 certificate of completion. This certificate is awarded to young women who attend three (3) out of our four (4) 2009 Leadership Workshops along with attending the “Spirit of Leadership Conference” (a total of four leadership events over the course of the year). This acknowledges completion of our program and will be a strong addition to any high school portfolio or college application.

“I control my own life and future. It does not matter what others think of me. I will find my passion and then live my dream. I want to get even more involved with this program.”
